Mr. Witman Muonekela (pictured) comes from Lipesa Village in Phalombe district. He is married, has three kids and two dependents. Mr. Witman Muonekela has been a CUMO client since 2019.
He started in a VSL group from where he took his first loan. He quickly graduated to become an SME client in 2020. He is in a business of selling groceries and he is also an Agro dealer and a farmer. His first loan amount was MWK 50,000.00 and the current loan amount is MWK 2,000,000.00.
Since joining CUMO, his standard of living has improved. He had one grocery shop at home but now he has managed to buy land where he built a second grocery shop. Through his business he has also managed to complete building a house. He is able to take care of his family and their livelihood has generally improved. Through his business, he has managed to employ more than four people who help him with his business. Since he started getting loans from CUMO, Mr. Muonekela says he has benefited a lot through the loans acquired as evidenced by the growth of his business.
